Beauty and Fitness
Everyone wants to know how to start your day with Body positivity and self-love. In this article, I explain to you about beauty and fitness. What is the relation between beauty and fitness? I explain to you the importance of self-improvements self-love.
So whats mean the word Beauty? Is it defined by the shape of your face, is dependent on your age, skin color, race, bone structure, gender, body structure or shape, weight or how flat your stomach is? Or maybe it's defined by what you see in the media criteria or by popular culture and trends, for example, big lips and big bumps are in, simply because of certain trending celebrities.
Beauty
Various cultures have different definitions and perceptive of beauty. From the Kayan tribes who believe that long giraffe type necks are the ultimate sign of beauty and from age five, start priming their necks with heavy brass rings, to several parts of Asia where pale or white skin is often seen as a sign of beauty and affluence.
Watching a very beautiful girl on TV Social Media sadly describes herself as "not being very pretty and not even attractive" got me thinking about my definition of beauty and wanting to ask you what your definition of beauty is?
Have you ever seen a mirror in the bathroom when you come out of a steamy hot shower and tried to look at your reflection in the mirror when it's completely fogged up?
I often think that is how we tend to view our beauty through fogged-up mirrors. We are seeing ourselves but the picture isn't exactly clear and we have limited visibility! The mirrors have been fogged up through different life experiences and memories as we have grown up, and now blend together to form our own definition of our beauty.
The first mirror is formed when you observed what your parents and surrounded people are saying. I remember being my parents told that I am cute child, so that when I got a little older and was around six or seven and another child (One day a little boy in the playground) tried to tell me I am ugly - everything within me rose up against this ugly statement and I completely denied it. The statement is such contrast to what had been drilled into me, that my self-belief in what my parents had said stood strong.
The second mirror is the mirror of adolescence. As a teenager, I went to a boarding school, and for a period of time, remember being one of the only two black people in the entire school. Children being naturally curious, I felt like I was asked a million and one different questions about both my hair and skin tone - and I don't think there has ever been a time where I have been more acutely aware of my appearance, which in turn opened up the door for me to question how I looked and to thankfully embrace my differences.
The final mirror comes from socially constructed ideas of beauty. We are often bombarded with images in the media, popular culture, society, peers, and social media, which can create a false ideal of beauty in our eyes. We tend to compare ourselves to those ideals and use it as some sort of margin of measurement.
I believe that real beauty is acceptance of yourself, perceived flaws, and all and to realize that they are a part of what makes you, you. It's a radiance of spirit, having character, kindness to ourselves, and to others, it's strength and self-confidence to know that with or without makeup the real beauty is you.
But BEAUTY is the characteristic of an animal, object, place, person, or idea that provides an intuitive experience of happiness or satisfaction. Beauty is studied as part of the culture, social psychology, and sociology. An "ideal beauty" is a structure which is admired, or possesses features widely attributed to beauty in a particular culture, for perfection. Ugliness is the opposite of beauty properties.
Fitness
Fitness is the broad term its meaning depends on everyone's thinking. Some people thinking style is different from others. Some peoples think fitness means only physical health but others think mental and emotional health is called fitness. But my point of view about fitness is the quality of being physically and mentally healthy is called fitness.
Physical fitness
Physical fitness is the state of health and the ability to perform different hard activities. Physical fitness is attained by specific nutrition. Physical fitness is base on how much your body is strong and how much your body is active and responds to other reactions.
Over recent years, there has been a great deal of research into how bodily fitness might influence the mind.
Impact of Physical fitness
For instance, studies have concluded that physical fitness can reduce the risk of dementia, relieve depressive symptoms, and more.
There is also evidence that physical activity boosts the cognitive performance of healthy individuals, people of different ages, and participants with cognitive impairments.
Similarly, some studies have shown positive links between physical fitness and changes in brain structure.
The authors of the latest study in this field, who published their findings in Scientific Reports, note that previous studies had certain limitations.
In some cases, for instance, they did not account for variables that could play an important role.
As an example, researchers could associate low levels of physical fitness with higher blood pressure. If a study finds that high physical fitness has links with cognitive abilities, scientists could argue that in fact, it is lower blood pressure that boosts cognitive power.
The same could apply for several factors that have links with fitness, such as body mass index (BMI), blood glucose levels, and education status.
Also, most studies concentrate on only one marker of mental performance at a time, such as memory.
